Calculation condition
- ”CO2 emissions” refers to the total amount of greenhouse gases (GHG) converted into CO2 equivalents using global warming potential.
- CO2 emissions are calculated using the LCA support software “MiLCA v2.3” developed by the Sustainable Management Promotion Organization (SuMPO).
- The effect of recycling indicates the effect of reducing the consumption of virgin pulp by recycling used beverage cartons and waste of paper carton manufacturing process.
- CO2 emissions are the CO2 emissions generated from raw materials, manufacturing processes, waste treatment, transportations, etc., minus the reduction in CO2 emissions due to the effect of recycling.
- The energy of the manufacturing process used for the calculation is the result of FY2022, and the recovery rate of the paper carton is the result of FY2021.
- If in-house data is not available, “IDEA v2.3 (the database compiled by the Japan Environmental Management Association for Industry)” of “MiLCA v2.3” is used for the calculation.
- CO2 derived from the straw that comes with the product is not included.
- CO2 derived from the plastic cap attached to the product is included.
